Our Location

RailFilmLocations is based at the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway in Derbyshire. The line is headquartered in Wirksworth; a charming market town, sensitively restored and populated with a staggering variety of buildings, nooks and crannies which causes the town to be known as 'Quirksworth'.

The line passes through the gentle and unspoilt Ecclesbourne Valley, calling at the villages of Idridgehay and Shottle, the hamlet of Hazelwood and terminating at Duffield in the Derwent Valley, just north of Derby.

The area is easy to reach. Just 20 minutes from the M1, the A6 trunk road passes through Duffield and near to Wirksworth.

InterCity rail services run to Derby (15 miles) and Chesterfield (20 miles), while Wirksworth is equidistant to Manchester and Nottingham East Midlands Airports.
