The Railway South of Wirksworth
Immediately south of Wirksworth station, two independent single lines can be used to simulate two-track running.

South of Wirksworth, the line takes on a pleasant rural aspect with open views.
Idridgehay and Shottle
Between Wirksworth and Duffield, lie the charming rural stations of Idridgehay and Shottle. Idridgehay will open to passengers in 2008 and Shottle in 2009.
Both stations have the feel of rural branch line stations of forty or fifty years ago.

Shottle has been used for filming a documentary about the railway. As can be seen, the station is well-suited to period dramas.
Duffield
Our southern terminus at Duffield is under restoration but provides a junction with the main line and offers filming opportunities with high-speed and heavy freight trains passing nearby.

In conclusion, we can provide a range of facilities and locations to serve many filming requirements.
